One Month!

I feel like I've said it a million times, but this month really has been the longest, yet shortest of my life! Plus it was the month of January, which always lasts forever anyway, so that didn't help, but alas, we made it! Being a new mom to a little baby definitely has its ups and downs, but I feel like we've made it up the steepest part of the hill, and things are a little bit more under control! We kind of have a schedule-ish down, not super strict, but I've figured out that she's most alert in the morning and evening and that she'll always take a long nap in the afternoon, which helps me plan my day since I decided it was time to actually start getting stuff done again around the house and whatnot, but it really is tough when I have a little cutie to cuddle and play with! She is definitely more alert now. She hasn't hit any major milestones yet, but she'll turn her head when she hears loud noises, and she's slowly starting to discover her hands, and can actually support her head pretty well for short periods of time! I've caught her smiling a couple times, but not really at anything- but soon enough I'm sure! So it's progress. I'm so excited to see her keep growing and learning, but my heart always sinks a little bit when I see how big she's getting and wish she could stay little forever! So here for your enjoyment are some pictures from her one month birthday and our latest adventures!

Look how long she is! She loves to keep her arms like that, even when sleeping!

Cuddle time with daddy!

We made it through an hour of church! I was worried because she was screaming the whole way there, but she settled down and went to sleep after squealing through the opening prayer.

This past weekend my longtime friend Heather flew out from Missouri to meet Miss Brielle! We had such a good time and gave her a full Phoenix welcome by taking her to the Desert Botanical Gardens. You can't get more cultured than that! It was a beautiful day and we got some great pictures!

Heather snapped a couple pictures with her nice camera while she was here too, I think they really bring out the blonde in her hair!

I can't wait to see what this next month brings! Hopefully some more smiles and a bit more sleep! ;)

Until next time!
